Services
Where I can help
I provide independent support across AI adoption, architecture decisions and technology leadership. Engagements range from focused assessments and hands-on implementation with your team to ongoing advisory and leadership support.
AI-Augmented SDLC & engineering transformation
I help you decide where to apply AI across software delivery, which initiatives to take forward and how to measure their impact. I assess the full lifecycle, from requirements through to operations, taking account of your teams’ workflows, existing systems and security requirements.
Potential deliverables: AI adoption and risk assessment, prioritised rollout plan, measurement framework and AI usage guidelines, with a scoped pilot where justified.
Software & solution architecture advisory
Facing an important architecture decision, integration challenge or modernisation programme? I provide independent reviews, evaluate options and trade-offs, and help address performance, scalability, security and operational risks.
Potential deliverables: Architecture review, documented decision options, target architecture and a practical modernisation or migration plan.
Fractional CTO & engineering leadership
As a fractional or interim CTO, I provide strategic and operational decision support to your leadership team. Working with existing leaders and teams, I help shape technology strategy, clarify responsibilities, establish engineering standards and develop teams and their technical capabilities.
Potential deliverables: Technology strategy and priorities, decision and accountability models, engineering standards, and a team and capability development plan.
Faster coding ≠ faster delivery
I look beyond automating individual roles to examine the full SDLC: its phases, handoffs, quality gates and decision points. I identify where work stalls and where AI can add value. Faster code generation alone does not guarantee faster or more reliable software delivery.
Selected work
Selected work in enterprise environments, spanning AI strategy and organisational adoption, engineering practices, architecture and modernisation.
Enterprise AI strategy and AI Lab
As CTO of a software company with around 150 people, I initiated and led the technical direction of its AI strategy and AI Lab. Working with colleagues, we developed AI usage guidelines, skills assessments, internal training and an embedded AI Ambassador model. The programme brought together around five ambassadors to support roughly ten teams. Preliminary follow-up survey results indicated growing AI literacy and more frequent use of company-managed tools; longer-term productivity measurement was still being established.
Enterprise SDLC transformation in telecom
I led the technical work of an in-house architecture team at a Hungarian telecom operator to establish a shared enterprise SDLC and engineering standards. The work covered requirements management, quality gates, testing, CI/CD and acceptance of vendor-delivered software. As a result, the organisation successfully introduced contract testing, which is now in active use. Later feedback from the teams indicated that reusable microservice blueprints and standardised delivery pipelines had also become part of day-to-day engineering practice.
Mobile banking architecture and performance analysis
I worked as a software and solution architect on a major Hungarian bank’s digital platform, focusing on architecture and integration design. I introduced domain-driven design (DDD) into architectural design practices and drove its adoption within the organisation. I also demonstrated the backend-for-frontend (BFF) pattern, built a proof of concept, produced documentation and drove its organisational adoption. For nearly six months, I investigated performance issues in the live mobile banking application. By tracing request flows and analysing response times and source code, I identified issues in the application code, platform and architecture, including bottlenecks related to API call volumes and payload sizes.
Banking architecture and software delivery transformation
As a software architect and later lead architect, I contributed to a multi-year modernisation of a bank’s Java EE / WebLogic environment. I provided technical leadership for the Git and Jenkins-based CI/CD transition, and supported the adoption of Spring Boot, automated testing and OpenShift/GitOps deployments through working reference applications, documentation and developer training. Solutions established in the digital banking area became bank-wide standards through shared technical review and approval. Modernised customer-facing components could be deployed independently without downtime, reducing planned service interruptions; unplanned outage durations also decreased.
Product development
I helped establish a product mindset in a software company with a background in bespoke client projects. As CTO, I was accountable for the development of an enterprise software product and also worked hands-on as a technical lead and architect, shaping its architecture and contributing to implementation.
Why work with me
Strategic perspective, hands-on experience.
I’ve worked as a developer, architect and CTO, connecting leadership decisions with practical implementation experience.
Experience driving organisational adoption.
Through working reference implementations, shared standards and team training, I help new approaches become part of everyday practice.
Enterprise context matters.
Experience across banking, insurance and telecom helps me account for security, integration and operational requirements from the outset.
Independent decision support.
As a tool- and vendor-independent advisor, I help you evaluate alternatives against your goals, weighing the trade-offs and risks.
How we start
We can start with a focused assessment or independent review and continue into implementation or ongoing support where useful.
Introductory conversation
A free 30-minute call to discuss your challenge, goals and constraints, and decide whether we are a good fit.
Assessment and options
Interviews and an SDLC or architecture review, tailored to the task, help clarify the current situation, risks and possible directions.
Focused implementation
If we proceed, we work on a scoped pilot, architecture design or improvements to engineering practices, with agreed goals and responsibilities.
Handover or continued support
We document the outcomes, decisions and practical next steps. I can continue supporting your team where needed.

About
I began working as a software developer in 2008, while studying at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. My career has spanned enterprise systems in banking, insurance and telecom, from development through software and solution architecture to four years as CTO of a 150-person software company.
As CTO, I worked across technology strategy, engineering practices and enterprise AI adoption. Today, as an independent advisor, I help organisations make informed technology decisions and embed change into their teams’ everyday work. I remain hands-on with architecture and software development, including using AI in my own work.
Alongside my career, brewing is one of my greatest passions. For a time, I was actively involved in Hungary’s craft beer community. I continued developing my knowledge and earned a postgraduate qualification in brewing. I enjoy how it calls for both engineering thinking and creativity. For me, shared tastings are also about the people: good conversations, new connections and a sense of community.
