1. Visiting this website. This website uses no cookies, does not track visitors and has no form that submits data. To serve the site and keep it secure, the hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) processes technical log data: IP address, time of the request, the page requested and browser details. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the website securely and reliably. Retention: in line with Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Run logs of the server code that receives the conversation-starter events, including the technical details of each request, are kept by Cloudflare for 3 days; I use them only to monitor operation and troubleshoot.

2. Conversation starter. In the contact section, a short question lets you choose a topic and add a sentence. Anything you type stays in your browser; it is not sent to me or stored unless you send it yourself on LinkedIn. I count how the buttons are used without names or identifiers: the topic chosen, the page language, which button brought you to the question and the time. No IP address, browser details or cookies are used for this, so the counts cannot be linked to a person. They are stored by Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for three months, to understand which topics people are interested in. Technical log data created when serving the request is covered by section 1.

3. Contacting me on LinkedIn. If you contact me on LinkedIn, I use your message to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible engagement. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). LinkedIn’s own privacy policy also applies to the messaging.

4. External links. The link to my LinkedIn profile takes you to LinkedIn; LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies to any processing there.

5. Transfers outside the EU. Cloudflare may also process data in the United States, safeguarded by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses (SCCs).

6. Your rights. You can ask for access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, or the restriction of its processing; you can object to processing based on legitimate interest and exercise your right to data portability. Send your request in a LinkedIn message and I will reply within one month. You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, www.naih.hu) or go to court.
